New York City – February 18, 2014 – Scanbuy, Inc., today announced a partnership with GS1 Spain and GS1 Hungary to provide brands a mobile engagement platform that creates opportunities for real-world, real-time interaction with consumers via their mobile phones.
With the platform, managed and branded by the GS1 member countries, companies can deliver product information, offer promotions, collect consumer feedback, create automated dialogues, and enable other innovative consumer interactions through mobile barcode scanning of product packaging. Mike Wehrs, CEO and president of Scanbuy, is set to deliver the Industry Keynote Plenary speech at the GS1 Global Forum in Brussels on Wednesday, February 19 at 15:00 on how product barcode mobile scanning can help brands better engage with consumers. In addition, Scanbuy will be showcasing its ScanLife mobile engagement platform in the Market Place, Booth 12, at the event on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

In Spain, the service is called eScan with hundreds of companies already registered and thousands of products available featuring the informational barcodes. More than 2.5 million mobile consumers in Spain are active ScanLife app users who can access the eScan service.
