To promote the new Burger King app. Through this new app customer had the chance to receive rewards, learn about new products, special offers, and local events. The brand had a challenge of connecting directly with their audience.
QR Codes were placed on mail-in materials (i.e: free standing inserts). Burger King offered a FREE Whopper with every download, and mobile order directly through their app. Mobile users were opting-in to receiving savings through the app’s coupons features. The QR Code generated thousands of downloads, increased Burger King’s app usage, and gained brand loyalty. An additional brand benefit was the increased of consumer data, which allowed the brand to learn more about their target audience and their preferences.
